Safety on every journey (insurance)
In addition to the standard insurance coverage that comes with every rental car, you can also upgrade to first-class premium cover which offers protection under the terms and conditions prescribed in your insurance contract. The renter has to be responsible for the initial expenses of up
to 5,000 baht in each accident. This includes situations where the renter fails to take down the
registration numbers of any third party responsible for damages. The same restrictions apply even if there is no third party involved or the renter is personally responsible for any damages or accident.
With the Extra Collision Damage Waiver (ECDW), the renter is not responsible for the initial costs incurred by an accident even when there is a failure to record the registration number of the vehicle responsible or in the case that damages were caused by the renter himself. In addition, there is also no liability for costs in accidents where the renter or a third party is responsible. In addition, under the terms of the ECDW, the renter can apply for personal insurance, which covers protection for both motorists and passengers in the case of an accident. The two privilege packages are available to all MCR customers for a minimal daily fee.

Rate for personal accident premium
For motorists and passengers – there is a maximum coverage of 100,000 baht/person. For the loss of life, part of body or permanent disability, there is a maximum coverage of 100,000 baht/person. For any medical expenses there is a maximum coverage of 100,000 baht/person. For all motorists, there is a maximum coverage of 200,000 baht for each individual accident

The coverage offered comes under the terms of the Royal Act for the Insurance Coverage
of Car Accident Victims this means that:
For damage caused to a part of body, there is a maximum coverage of 50,000 baht/person. For loss of life/ limbs or in the event of any other permanently disability there is a maximum coverage of 100,000 baht/person. The maximum coverage for each accident is 5,000,000 baht.
Coverage for other parties
Additional coverage for life and body on top of the coverage prescribed in the Royal Act for the Insurance Coverage of Car Accident Victims, means accident victims are entitled to a maximum coverage of 2,000,000 baht, or 10,000,000 baht per person. Damaged caused to a third party outside the insured vehicles comes to a maximum 5,000,000 baht per accident.
Coverage for insured cars
For damaged caused to the insured vehicle, the maximum coverage will be no more than the face amount of that vehicle. For damage caused by loss/fire, there is a maximum coverage of no more than the face amount.
